Changing or decommissioning generation
Decommissioning generation
It is important that you notify us if you decommission your generation so that we can update our records. The following form should be used for this purpose:
Changing generation
If you intend to replace existing generation the new equipment must comply with the current versions of ENA Engineering Recommendation G83 or G59, as appropriate. If the new equipment is different in any way from the existing generation you must notify us of these changes.
If the aggregate rating of the generation will be less than 16A (3.68kW) per phase after the changes have been completed and the new equipment meets the requirements of the current version of G83, then you may carry out these changes and notify us by submitting Generation Decommissioning Forms and a Commissioning Confirmation Forms within 28 days of the work taking place.
If the aggregate rating of the generation will be above 16A (3.68kW) per phase after the changes have been completed, or the equipment does not meet the requirements of the current version of G83, you must apply to us and agree the details before the new generation is installed and commissioned. The process for doing this is identical to the process for connecting new generation.
