Distributed Generation Stakeholder Workshop

As part of WPD’s ongoing engagement with different customer groups, we hold an annual stakeholder workshop specifically for Distributed Generation stakeholders and customers.

Distributed Generation is electricity generating plant that is connected to WPD’s network rather than the transmission network and the amount connected is set to grow rapidly in the coming years. We recognise that connecting customers to the electricity network is a critical activity that delivers benefits both to individual customers and to society more broadly. As the volume of connections increases there are new challenges for us to overcome to ensure that we continue to manage and adapt the connections process.

These workshops allow generation stakeholders to give us valuable feedback and make suggestions for additions to our annual workplan for WPD connection activities.
