Testing and commissioning

The construction work for the electricity connection between the Brechfa Forest West Wind Farm and the existing electricity connection, near Llandyfaelog, is nearing completion.  In the next few weeks, we will be testing and carrying out commissioning work on the 132kV electricity line and as such, the line should now be treated as live electrical apparatus.
Safety is of paramount importance and we are committed to providing a safe and reliable electricity supply.  We are keen to work with everyone involved to ensure that those who use the land stay safe.  With this in mind, our dedicated Safety Team has issued a leaflet Avoidance of Danger from Electricity Overhead Lines and Underground Cables which is a very helpful and comprehensive guide, providing detailed information and advice on the potential dangers associated with working near any electricity connection.
